Because of a split vote, the council held off on appointing resident Pat Boyle to the West Windsor Parking Authority during its meeting on March 10.##M:[more]##

The parking authority had unanimously recommended that council appoint Pat Boyle to the position, and when it came up on the agenda, councilwomen Heidi Kleinman and Linda Geevers motioned to include his name for appointment to an adviser spot. Council President Will Anklowitz and Councilman Charles Morgan voted against including his name in the motion, resulting in a 2-2 council split. Councilman George Borek could not attend the meeting due to a last minute emergency.

“As I said publicly after that, that was not a vote against Pat Boyle,” Morgan said. “That was a vote against the process. We hadn’t had a chance to discuss the other people whose names have been put forward. We haven’t had a chance to discuss any of them.”

Included in the lists of other candidates for the spot is resident Mike Baxter, Morgan said.
