The WW-P school board addressed a number of other matters at its meeting on July 17:

— Diane Gallo, who resigned from her position as assistant principal at Millstone River School, will be paid $72,509.40 in unused sick and vacation days. She will be replaced by Lori Skibiniski, who will receive a prorated salary of $104,075. Skibiniski’s date of tenure will be July 19, 2015.

— The board voted to change Penny Fisher’s position from an assistant principal to the supervisor of K-5 curriculum and instruction. Her date of tenure is August 18, 2013.

— The board accepted $1,162 from the Department of Education’s Harassment, Intimidation, & Bullying (HIB) funds to support implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act.

— Dr. Yvette Roche Muniz was approved to serve as school psychologist at Millstone River School at a rate of $400 per diem. Her contract will be effective from September 1 through June 30.

— A one-year agreement with Centris Group to provide implementation, support, maintenance, and hosting for IEP Direct, a Special Education management, and IEP software was amended. The contract runs from July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013 and is not to exceed $35,100 for initial setup and $12,381.76 for support and maintenance.

— The board approved a one-year contact with Performance Matters to provide the “Performance Matters Accountability Edition,” a web-based integrated student assessment and online testing system, for $29,499. The contract runs through June 30, 2013.

— The board approved Teach with a Purpose LLC to provide teacher and administrator training on mylessonplanner.com on July 26 and 27, at a cost of $2,000.

— A race to the top Phase 3 grant in the amount of $14,856 from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015, was approved.

— Junior assistants Nishant Yajnik, Dhyuti Patel, and Talat Shahzadi as well as videographer Sonali Chanchani were all approved for consultant services rendered during the district’s hosting of the STARTALK Hindi/Urdu immersion camp.

— The school board approved two international exchange students to attend High School South in the upcoming school year.

— The school board approved the admission of two students — one from Monroe, one from Newark — to participate in WW-P’s Multiple Disabilities Program with tuition payments for the upcoming school year.

— The board approved the disposal of equipment that has met the district’s life expectancy: nine Alpha Smart portable word processors, one HP desktop printer, and eight Polaroid cameras.

— The board approved the sale of the school district’s Solar Renewable Energy Certificates. An internet auction using FlettExchange — www.flettexchange.com — will be held Wednesday, August 8, between 11 a.m. and noon.

— Bids for supplies and custodial paper products for the 2012-’13 school year, totaling $75,402.50, were approved as follows: Camden Bag & Paper Co., hard roll towels, $36,980; United Sales USA Corporation, jumbo roll toilet tissue $10,800 and toilet tissue/single $1,977.50; W.B.Mason, single roll paper towels $1,765, and trash liners, $23,880.

–– The board voted to award the bid for bleacher replacement at High School South to Degler-Whiting Inc., for a total bid of $108,300, contingent on attorney review and approval from the state department of community affairs.

–– The board voted to award a bid for paving restoration and building a rear play area at Wicoff Elementary to L&L Paving Co., for a total base bid award of $81,640, contingent on attorney review and approval from the state Department of Community Affairs.
