West Windsor residents Erin McElwee and Shannon O’Connor, both 12, will be competing in the Mid-Atlantic Irish Step Dancing Competition in Philadelphia, on Friday to Sunday, November 24 to 26. Both have been students at the DeNogla School of Irish Dance for the past seven years. Shannon is a seventh grade student at Community Middle School. Erin is a sixth grade student at Grover Middle School.

The Oireachtas Championships, taking place in the Philadelphia Marriott in Philadelphia, are open to the public. Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. $15 admission each day. Website: www.mid-atlanticregion.com.

Former Plainsboro resident BriAnne Sudia is co-directing “Inspecting Carol” at the Hanover Street Theater, in the Neighborhood Arts Center in Pemberton. They will produce six shows about a theater’s annual production of “A Christmas Carol,” from Friday, December 8, to Sunday, December 17. Tickets are $12 to $15 (with dessert). www.thenac.org
