Jillian Ritchie, a graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, Class of 1998, is playing a foul-mouthed master of ceremonies in David Ives’ comedy “Speed-the-Play” featuring the rewritten words of David Mamet’s works at Villagers Theater.##M:[more]## The actors speed through the dialogue in the play condensing “American Buffalo,” “Speed-the-Plow,” “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” and “Glengarry Glen Ross” in 10 minutes.

Ritchie, who lives in Franklin Park and teaches seventh grade English in Monroe, received a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Douglass College and a masters in education from Rutgers. Ritchie coaches boys soccer at Applegarth Middle School and is working on furthering a performance career through acting and writing.

Also in the program are Christopher Durang’s “Kitty the Waitress” and the New Jersey premiere of Greg Gamble and Lee Howard’s “The Last Touchy-Feely Drama on the American Stage.”

The three plays are part of “April Fools,” running one weekend only, Friday, March 31, through Sunday, April 2, in the Black Box at Villagers Theater, 415 Demott Lane, Somerset.
