Although West Windsor Police Officer Keith Hillman died of leukemia at age 40 on July 5, the community continues to mourn and there are several upcoming benefits for his family and an education fund set up for his three daughters, a community blood drive, and a half marathon to benefit leukemia research and education.##M:[more]##

Officer Down benefit for permanently disabled or deceased law enforcement officers and their families. Beneficiaries include Hillman, as well as West Windsor Officer Roy Hernesh, disabled after an auto accident. Family event with music, food, clowns, face painters, and balloon artists. $12 donation. Sunday, August 13, 11 a.m.

Benefit for Officer Keith Hillman’s Family, West Windsor Police, McCaffrey’s Market, Southfield Shopping Center, West Windsor, 609-799-3555. Moon bounce, balloon art, hamburgers, hot dogs, Mummertime Band, and clowns. A percentage of sales will be donated to Hillmans’s family including his wife and three children. Saturday, August 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

She has a goal of $4,”000. Proceeds benefit cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
