Princeton Public Library recently received a $25,000 donation from the Global Giving team of NRG Energy Inc., a locally based Fortune 250 company that supports clean energy resources and technologies nationwide.

The gift will be directed to the library’s Stewardship Fund, which is a targeted endowment that provides funds for building upgrades that allow the library to operate more sustainably.

The gift complements the guidance that NRG Chief Operation Officer Mauricio Gutierrez and other company experts have provided the library in support of its goal to reduce energy consumption and costs.

Gutierrez said, “Just as public libraries inspire learning through books and media, we hope to inspire a local race for clean energy through our support of the community’s public library.”
