The North girls’ lacrosse team is picking up steam as the spring season at WW-P heats up. With a 5-0 record and an early win over crosstown rival South, North is emerging as a leader in the CVC.

North dismissed Robbinsville, 17-4, on April 7, after defeating South, 14-11, earlier in the week — an important win to set the tone for the season. The team opened its season on April 1 with a win over Princeton.

The team’s leaders have been a force early in the season. Kristin Troianello, Ana Lucia Dellien, and Olivia Harpel are among the team’s best scorers. Against Robbinsville, Troianello had four goals, and against South and Princeton, she had three each. Harpel also scored four goals against Robbinsville, three against South, and three against Princeton. Dellien had a goal against Robbinsville, four against South, and three against Princeton. Against Allentown on April 13, Dellien had five goals.

South’s lacrosse team (5-1) is also doing well. The Pirates have their own impressive offense. Against Stuart Country Day on April 12, Kendal Borup scored seven goals, while Anna Tadej had six against Notre Dame on April 11. Molly Johnson had five goals against Hopewell.

North’s softball team is also off to a 3-0 start and has also defeated its district rival, South. South’s baseball and boys’ tennis teams, however, even the field when it comes to the rivalry, as both notched victories over their North counterparts this month.
