West Windsor has a new judge. Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh and township council last month approved the appointment of Judge Mary S. Brennan as the permanent replacement for Judge David Saltman, who retired last year.##M:[more]##

Brennan served as municipal judge in Hamilton Township since August 2003, and also served for three years as Hamilton’s municipal prosecutor. She has had her own law office since August, 1997. She studied law at Rutgers Law School and Temple Law School. She was a Democratic contender for the U.S. House of Representatives against Rep. Chris Smith (R-4) in 2002.

Brennan’s appointment runs through June 30, 2006. Her annual West Windsor salary is $35,”000.

Saltman stepped down last November to retired to Florida. He was appointed to the position in 2001 after then-Judge Ray Barson retired to work at a private law firm. Lester Maisto, a municipal judge in Trenton and Willingboro served as interim judge in the time between Saltman’s Retirement and the appointment of Brennan.
