Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic named two West Windsor residents to its executive committee. Rose Marie Proietti, a volunteer since 2001, is vice chair of the board of directors. Thomas Brown, a board member since 2005, is secretary. ##M:[more]##The Plainsboro-based unit of the national nonprofit serves people who cannot effectively read standard print because of visual impairment, dyslexia, or other physical disability.

Proietti, a registered nurse with an MBA in health care, has served on the board since 2005. An avid reader since childhood, she reads nursing texts for the organization. She has spent the last 20 years lecturing and presenting seminars at medical conferences around the world.

Brown, currently managing director for Lukoil Pan Americas, became interested in the organization when one of his daughters was diagnosed with dyslexia and began using the organization’s accessible educational materials. Brown, his wife Joan, and their three children, Jonathan, Kathryn, and Kevin, are active in St. David the King Catholic Church.
