Eight West Windsor-Plainsboro students performed in the Central Jersey Music Educators Association Intermediate Orchestra and Band Concert held on March 13 at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.

Chosen by audition in January, the students from Grover Middle School in the orchestra included Madeline Weiss, first flute, and Diana Zhu, violin I. Chih-Hsuan Wu played flute with the band at the same concert.

Community Middle School in the orchestra included Moya Chin, clarinet; Daniel Lee, trombone; Kristie Liao, oboe; Taylor Lee, violin; and Lucy Xu, cello.

The orchestra, under the direction of Todd Doan, presented Ruslan and Ludmila Overture, Song of the Prairie, and music from “The Lord of the Dance.” The band, under the direction of John R. McClernan, presented Dance of the Tumblers, Nirod, Chautauqua, and music from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
