Kevin Kong, 10, was awarded first prize for piano in the 10-year-old group in the New Jersey Young Musicians competition. A fifth grade student at Millstone River Upper Elementary School, he studies piano with Chiu-Ling Lin. He has studied piano for five years.##M:[more]##

Brandon Finnie, a student at High School South, played euphonium in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day. He is a member of the Pirate Marching Band.

An active member of the Salvation Army, he is involved in the organization’s New Jersey Youth Band. In October he received the invitation to march with the Salvation Army Band in the parade.

More than 100 West Windsor residents sang with residents of area nursing homes and assisted living centers this holiday season. The Boy and Girl Scouts made ornaments and brought treats to present to the seniors after each of the singing events. Song sheets and bells were distributed so that everyone could participate. Kate Henkel, a scout leader, played guitar at the events.
