Montclair State choirs to perform benefit concert

Montclair State University choral program students.

Choirs of Montclair State University and the Princeton Girlchoir Ensemble are set to perform benefit concerts on April 13 at 4 p.m.

The concert, which will take place at the Princeton Meadows Event Center will combine traditional and contemporary choral music from secular and sacred genres.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County. Admission by donation, suggested at $20 for adults, will support the organization’s hunger prevention and housing stability programs, which together serve some 5,000 low-income families and individuals in Mercer County.

The University Singer and the Vocal Accord chamber choir, both from Montclair State, will be directed by Dr. Heather J. Buchanan and the Princeton Girlchoir Ensemble will be directed by Lynnell Joy Jenkins.

All three choirs will join together for the concert finale Hope for Resolution.

The Princeton Meadows Event Center is located at 545 Meadow Road, Princeton.
