Kent Shin, son of Tai and Joy Shin of West Windsor recently received the Bronze Medal and his fourth Air Medal for his service in Iraq. A lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, he lives in Burke, Virginia with his wife and three children.

Born in West Windsor, he is a graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, Class of 1982. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1986 and earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1996.

Dane A. Brown, son of Khan N. Brown of Plainsboro, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor degree majoring in electrical engineering. He was commissioned as an ensign in the Navy.
