McGurney Leaving

South ice hockey coach Brian McGurney has resigned his position after 11 seasons with the team. McGurney finished with an overall record of 137-99-22, including two appearances in the Mercer County finals.

This past season, the team posted an 11-11-2 record, winning a share of the CVC Valley Division. According to published reports, McGurney and his wife are expecting their first child at the end of the month.

McGurney will continue to teach in the district.
