Mercer County Community College is set to host an open house highlight their funeral service program.

Faculty, staff, and current students will be on hand to provide information about Mercer’s Funeral Service program, which offers a Funeral Service Certificate and a Funeral Service Associate in Applied Science degree. Both programs are accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education.

Tours of recently refurbished facilities will be available.

The goals of the MCCC funeral service program are to provide students with professional training in preparation for licensure in the funeral service industry and to prepare students to embark upon a career in a service-oriented, care-giving profession.

In addition, the program aims to provide an academic environment that encourages student research and successfully integrate theoretical, practical, and technical aspects of funeral service.

The open house is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. May 10 at the MCCC’s Student Center, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.
