Mercer County Technical School District’s carpentry class recently completed a project for the West Windsor Township Police Department. The police department worked closely with the carpentry instructor, Mark Nace, and his students to custom design three large emergency supply boxes for the rear of certain police vehicles.

The supply boxes provide officers with easy access to supplies needed in various emergency situations such as car lockouts, disabled vehicles on roadways and first-aid supplies.

Five years ago, Mercer County Technical School District’s welding class built a training door for West Windsor Township Police Department’s Tactical Response Team which is still in use today.

The Mercer County Technical School District offers shared-time and full-time career and technical education programs to all secondary public school districts and non-public schools in Mercer County. Specialized training for adults is also available.
