Princeton Day School is hosting the Math Midway 2 Go exhibition from April 3 through 9 on campus for lower and middle school students.

Math Midway 2 Go is a traveling presentation comprised of six interactive mathematics exhibits that was created by the Museum of Mathematics.

These exhibits are based on the popular and more comprehensive hands-on Math Midway exhibition, which is currently touring science museums across the country.

Middle school math teacher Arlene Cohen lobbied to bring the exhibition to PDS after taking a group of students to see the Math Midway exhibition at the Liberty Science Center.

There are time slots scheduled for every class from pre-K through eighth grade, which pair a LS class with a MS class.

Younger and older students work together in exhibits called Ring of Fire, Organ Function Grinder

“The older students will act as guides to the younger students, and the students can experience the exhibits together, with each grade learning something different from the exhibit since the math can be appreciated at different levels,” Cohen said in a statement.
