Village School teacher Rick Heckman led two winning teams of students in the recent Continental Math League Competition. The grades four and five teams had perfect scores in all five of the competitions. The grade five team finished in a four-way tie for first place in the nation and the grade four team is the only first place winner in the nation.##M:[more]##

National Student Leaders, Catherine Lee and Angela You, grade four; and David Hua and Brice Huang, grade five, had perfect scores on all five competitions.

Other top finishers include fourth grade students Yuqing Chai, Richard Deng, Kaylyn Hung, Margarita Misirpashayeva, Mrigank Saksena, and Shu-Ming Teoh.

Grade five students include Aji Shamsu and Sundar Solai, Michael Foley, Ralles Liu, Soyeong Park, and Christopher Zhang.
