The format for the post-season is different from last year’s pool play says Schiera. “This year, it’s double-elimination,” he said. “Once you lose two games, you’re done.” The team was rained out in its opener open against New Egypt on June 22, but the game was resecheduled for Thursday, June 23, after the News’ deadline

“I’m hoping to get to the championship game,” said Schiera. “That’s my expectation. We’ve been practicing hard.”
