Princeton Public Library’s Local Author Day is set to feature a workshop for writers and a book fair.

Local Author Day is scheduled for April 12 in the library’s Community Room, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton.

The workshop, titled The Ins and Outs of Writing Groups, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Teacher and author K. Edwin Fritz. Fritz, who runs two writing groups at the library, is set to present tips on finding the right group for you and running your own group.

Fritz’s first novel, Man Hunt, made it to two Amazon best-seller lists.

The workshop is limited to 50 participants. Registration is through the events calendar at princetonlibrary.org.

The book fair is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m.

The fair features 37 authors, who range in age from a high school senior to a writer in her nineties. Participating authors will interact with the public and each other while selling and signing their books.

Four featured authors will read from their books throughout the day. They include Legendary Locals: Princeton author Richard D. Smith, Hounded author Matt Ziselman, Artificial Absolutes author Mary Fan and Drift author Jon McGoran. Ten additional writers, chosen by lottery, will read or speak for as well.
