Lecture on Exceptionality

Susan Baum will speak to district parents and teachers about twice-exceptional students, those who are both gifted and either have learning disabilities or ADHD. The lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3, at 7 p.m. at Community Middle School. ##M:[more]##

Baum, a professor of education at the graduate school of the College of New Rochelle, teaches courses in elementary education and the education of gifted and talented students. She is the author with Steven Owen of “To Be Gifted and Learning Disabled: Strategies for Helping Bright Students with LD, ADHD, and More”; with Sally M. Reis of “Twice-Exceptional and Special Populations of Gifted Students (Essential Readings in Gifted Education Series)”; and most recently with Julie Viens and Barbara Slatin of “Multiple Intelligences in the Elementary Classroom: A Teachers Toolkit.”
