Pirates invaded Lawrenceville Elementary School on May 17, 2013.

Students from Lawrence High School performed the musical How I Became a Pirate by Greg Gilpin. Performers from LHS’ musical theater class shared their acting, singing and dancing talents with the younger students at LES.

The play’s student-directors, Alison Mark and Hannah Donohue, are both LES graduates.

Children learned how to use “pirate” vocabulary through the song,“Talk Like a Pirate.” LES students giggled while LHS senior Peter Lavelle performed “I’m Really Just a Sensitive Guy,” which was choreographed by fellow senior Sarah Roberts.
