The organization founded in Princeton and based in West Windsor for the last several years under the guidance of Elise Olgin, parent-advisor, raised more then $14,”000 at this year’s Walk for Chalk event to raise funds for new backpacks and school supplies for needy children in New Jersey. Some 350 new backpacks were delivered to Laurie Haven House, Anchor House, Davis House, Project Paul in Keansburg, Family Guidance Center in Ewing, and the Trenton After School Program.##M:[more]##

Additional backpacks provided by Williams-Sonoma were delivered to the Get Set Program, a five day a week after school program that includes programs for tutoring, music, visual arts, dance, theater, team-building games, and creative craft projects, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Trenton. Williams-Sonoma employees, who adopted Kids-for-Kids as one of the community service organizations it supports, have also assisted with parties for children at shelters and in the annual Walk-for-Chalk.
