A new exchange program between Princeton High School and students in Pettoranello, Italy brought Italian students to the area during the week of April 10. Hosted by Jack Stange (PHS ‘16) and his family, exchange student Micol Sassi was able to meet Revolutionary re-enactors while visiting the area’s historic sites.

The group of students had an action and learning packed visit, organized by teacher Joe Mazzarella, the World Languages Department and PHS host families and volunteers. In addition to attending classes at the high school, their itinerary included visits to Pettoranello Gardens, Grounds for Sculpture, a tour of Princeton University, a tour of the municipal building, a welcome by Mayor Lempert and a farewell dinner at the Princeton Italian-American Club.

PHS Italian language students visited Pettoranello, which is a sister city to Princeton, last fall.
