University of Delaware: Patrick John Shock, a graduate of High School North, Class of 2007, is on the dean’s list.

Monmouth University: Theresa Burek of West Windsor received an award honoring student athletes who have made the dean’s list. A graduate of High School South, Class of 2008, Burek has a scholarship to play field hockey. A freshman, she is majoring in communications. The award was presented to her during a ceremony at halftime of the Monmouth vs. Bryant basketball game on February 5.

Philadelphia University: Catherine K. Galton, a graduate of High School North, Class of 2009, was honored at a ceremony on February 14 for outstanding academic achievement by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester, while competing athletically in soccer at the Division II level.

Rider University’s Westminster College: Matthew Cintron, a fine arts major from West Windsor, is on the dean’s list.

Villanova University: Anthony R. Pannone of West Windsor was selected for membership in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2009. A senior electrical engineer major with business minor, he is a graduate of High School South, Class of 2005.

Pannone is president of the Villanova Electronic Invention Club and Motorsport Club, member of the Electrical & Computing Student advisory board, and a dean’s list recipient. Community service activities include chairing the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, membership in Peer Educators and the Student Alumni Relations Team, hosting Special Olympics, and being a student guide. His auxiliary activities at Villanova University include participation in the Billiards League, Cycling Club, Entrepreneurial Club, and Italian Club. A member of the Mazda Class Drag Racing Club, Pannone placed second in a quarter mile competition at Maryland International Raceway.

Accepted into the graduate program at Villanova University, Pannone will pursue a master’s degree in electrical engineering with certification in Nonlinear Dynamics and Control after graduation in May.
