Carnegie Mellon University: Sophie Thompson, a 2014 graduate of High School South, is on the dean’s list.

Ithaca College: Corey Hess of West Windsor was honored for his photograph “Who’s on First,” published in the The Ithacan on April 24. A junior, he is majoring in film, photography, video, and visual arts in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.

He received a 2014 Gold Circle Award at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s annual competition for collegiate publications. Hess’s work was chosen out of 11,407 entries in the competition for the Gold Circle award, which is offered to recognize superior work by student journalists. Columbia Scholastic Press Association is an international student press association that unites student journalists and faculty advisors at schools and colleges through educational conferences, idea exchanges, textbooks, critiques, and award programs.

Ithaca College: Jessica Miller of West Windsor was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

McDaniel College: Jennifer Litzinger, a junior from West Windsor, performs in the world-premiere of “Wendell,” loosely based on the play “Woyzeck” by Georg Buchner, through Saturday, April 18, on the college’s Westminster, Maryland campus. She is a junior. Call 410-857-2448 for tickets.

Tufts University: Students on the dean’s list include Nicole Campellone of West Windsor, Class of 2016; Adam Kercheval of West Windsor, Class of 2018;Lillian Lu of Plainsboro, Class of 2015; and Prachi Sharma of Plainsboro, Class of 2015.
