Homicide under investigation in Ewing Township

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Ewing Police Department are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Thursday night, said Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey and Ewing Police Chief Al Rhodes.

At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 8, officers from the Ewing Police Department responded to the first block of New Hillcrest Avenue on a report of a male stabbed.

Responding officers located an adult male in the street with several apparent stab wounds to the torso. The victim, identified as Jimmy Chase, 40, of Philadelphia, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he died due to his injuries this morning.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
