Four masked suspects forced their way into the home of a Bush Court family, where three family members and two friends were held at gun point before being bound.

According to police, the four suspects entered the home through a garage door on July 10 around 11:15 p.m. The suspects drew guns and bound the victims by covering their eyes and mouths. The suspects then took jewelry and cash and a small safe out of the home.

Shortly after the suspects left, the victims untied themselves and called police. Members of the West Windsor Police Department, along with a Lawrence Police Department K-9 unit, immediately searched the scene and surrounding areas, but could not find the suspects.

“At this point, the investigation is ongoing, and there are some preliminary indications that this was not a random act,” said a press release.

According to reports, police believe the suspects may have followed the mother and her 13-year-old daughter home to Bush Court when they were returning from New York City, where they were working at the husband’s business. Police estimate that about $7,000 in items was taken from the house.
