On January 8, the Robbinsville Township Division of Health received notice of a Hepatitis A case affecting a resident of the township.

Upon notification, health officials contacted and interviewed the affected resident. The questioning confirmed that the resident did eat at or from Rosa’s Restaurant and Catering in Hamilton during the time period of the confirmed Hepatitis A case that affected a food handler employed by the establishment.

However, the Robbinsville Township Division of Health cannot say with any certainty that the case is a direct result from the original infection/case.

The resident is an employee of a business located in Hamilton Township. Since the resident’s job and business are not accessible by the general public, this new case presents a negligible risk of exposure to the general public.

Robbinsville residents that have any questions may contact the Robbinsville Division of Health at (609) 918-0002.
