Maurice Hawk students, families, and teachers continue to share with their less-fortunate new friends at LaSalle Elementary School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Fourteen classes at the school participated in the pen pal program and three cartons of gifts were sent to Louisiana.

The gifts were purchased by Hawk families and teachers and the teachers wrapped and tagged the presents for the 39 pen pals. LaSalle had sent lists of sizes, ages, grades, and gender so that clothing and toys would be appropriate.
