“Growing and Tasting Herbs from Around the World” seminar and luncheon set for March 26

The Delaware Valley Herb Unit of The Herb Society of America plans to host a “Growing and Tasting Herbs from Around the World” seminar and luncheon on Thursday, March 26th, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The event will is set to take place at the Princeton Windrows, 2000 Windrows Drive.

Speaker Shyamala Sharma, a native of India and a Rutgers Master Gardener, will discuss herbs and spices from the different regions of India and show how they are used in regional cooking.

Owner of Triple Oaks Nursery in Franklinville, NJ, Lorraine Kiefer, will also give a speach on herbs and spices of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Chef Richard Blagrave of the Windrows will prepare a buffet luncheon incorporating herbs discussed in the lectures.

Cost is $35.00 including lunch.

Deadline for reservations is March 23, 2015.
