Members of West Windsor’s Junior Troop 70627 recently completed their collection of aluminum pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House charities and earned their Bronze award. RMHC recycles the tabs and the money netted is used to assist the house with operational expenses.

Troop members include Julie Rossano, Sruthi Pasupuleti, Jiwon Kim, Olivia Armstrong, Avery Vogel, Emily Weber, Emily Bartell, Lauren Frullo, Megan Weber, Dana Houck, Kaley Bohling, and Livy Nuttall.

Through collections at their schools, churches, and senior centers, the troop collected close to 130 pounds of aluminum pop tabs in a two-month period. The girls delivered the tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in New Brunswick, took a tour of the house, and spent the morning weeding the property surrounding it.

Ronald McDonald houses provide shelter and comfort to families during the medical treatment of their children. For volunteer information call 732-249-1222.
