Gallicantus to give two concerts in Princeton

Princeton University Concerts is set to present two performances of the Renaissance vocal ensemble Gallicantus on April 26 at Procter Hall at the Princeton Graduate College and on April 27 at Miller Chapel at Princeton Theological Seminary. Both concerts are at 7:30 p.m.

The first night the ensemble will give a performance titled The Word Unspoken, which features the works of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and Philippe de Monte.

The second night the ensemble will give a performance titled Sweet Laments of the English Renaissance, featuring Tallis Byrd, Robert Whyte, Robert Parsons and John Sheppard.

Gallicantus features David Allsopp as countertenor, Nicholas Todd and Christopher Watson as tenors, Gabriel Crouch as baritone and William Gaunt as bass.

Tickets are $15 and patrons who wish to attend both concerts will receive a discount.

Princeton Graduate College is located at Clio Hall on the Princeton University campus.

Miller Chapel is located at 64 Mercer Street, Princeton.
