Sarah Bush, Community Middle School grade eight student, and Patrick Lepore, teacher and co-advisor of the AMIGOS at the school, accepted an award as March of Dimes’ top fundraising school in Mercer County. Students, teachers, and staff raised $3,”800 by encouraging everyone at Community Middle School to participate in WalkAmerica Day.##M:[more]##

To raise funds, students requested donations, and AMIGOS, a school club, organized and staged a concert with Just a Chance Band featuring eighth grade students. The theme was “Volunteering …it’s Contagious.” The efforts were planned, developed, and organized by the school’s AMIGOS club of students in grades 7 and 8.
