Frozen in Time: An Art Exhibit About Winter

While winter is a favorite season for some, with fluffy white snow blanketing the earth, kids in their mittens sliding downhill in toboggans, steam rising from hot chocolate, the smell of wood burning in the fireplace, and the smell of roasting chestnuts; others think of ice, introspection, and isolation.

Visit the West Windsor Arts Center to see the new exhibit, “Winter in Art” opening Friday, November 5, from 4 to 6:30 with a reception.

Artists include Marlene D’Orazio Adler, “Winter Moon;” Susan Abrams, “Some Say in Ice” and “Santa Fe Apri;” Clara Susan Beym, “Berkely Island Winter;” Albert Chasan, “Shtetl Carpenters;” Susan Ewart, “Winter Wonderland;” Barry Garelick, “The Snow Stopped Us;” and Ken C. Hamilton, “Winter Orchard.”

Also Renee Kumar, “Winter Storm” and “Winter Trees;” Robert Lowe, “Winter Night” and “Winter Stream;” Rita Maniscalchi, “Snow Job;” Arlene Milgram, “A Cold Closes In” and “As Water Smoothes Stones;” Betsy Miraglia, “Tribal Winds” and “Buffalo Run;” and Teresa M. Prashad, “The Snow Storm.”
