FC holding Summer Select tryouts

Princeton FC will hold tryouts for its Summer Select program on Saturday, February 2 and Saturday, February 9. The program is open to U9 through U15 boys and U9 to U13 girls. U8 players are welcome to tryout for the U9 teams.

Tryouts for U9, U10, and U11 boys and U9, U11, and U12 girls will be held February 2. Boys play from 10 a.m. to 11:30. Girls will follow from 11:30 to 1.

U14 and U15 boys will tryout on February 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 11. U10 girls and U12 boys play from 10 to 11:30. The U13 boys and girls will conclude the tryouts from 11:30-1.

All sessions are held at the Princeton High School turf field. All interested players must register online before February 6.

The Princeton FC Summer Select program is intended for players who wish to continue training during the summer offseason. The program emphasizes technical skills, tactical awareness, positional play, and individual and group attacking and defending. U9 and U10 rosters will contain no more than 16 players. U11 to U15 teams will have no more than 20.

Princeton FC coaches will conduct the program. Players will practice at either Smoyer Park or Farm View Park three times a week from June 10 to July 11. Each team is guaranteed to play in at least two tournaments and six games over the course of the summer. There is a $295 fee per player.
