Linda Gelfand’s religious school class at Beth El Synagogue in East Windsor is spending the semester in virtual Israel. After several weeks of studying Israel, the class lined up in the synagogue hallway set up as an airport. They were questioned by customs and security people before they could move into the waiting room. Finally, they could board their aircraft and off they went. The “travelers” include West Windsor residents Rachel Trokenheim, Mira Sabin, and Rebecca Starr.
