Ewing Township is set to hold a Shred Day on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Municipal Complex at 2 Jake Garzio Drive.

“This free event is for township residents only and provides a safe and secure way to clean out those old checks, bills and any confidential documents that need proper disposal,” said a notice posted on the Ewing Township website.

“Materials will not be accepted from businesses, and Ewing residents will be required to provide proof of residency. Because this is an extremely popular program please be prepared to spend a few minutes waiting in line,” said the notice.

Citizens must stay in their cars while workers remove items to be shredded. Items should be placed in resident’s trunks or rear cargo area.

“Please do not get out of your car while waiting in line or while your items are being shredded,” said the township website.

This event will take place rain or shine. Another Shred Day is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
