Both High School North and South present fall dramas this coming weekend. North presents “Our Town,” Thornton Wilder’s look at a small town in the very early 20th century, while South presents “Fools,” a comedy by Neil Simon set in the Village of Kulyenshikov — a long time ago.

“Our Town” follows the people of Grovers Corners, New Hampshire. The first two acts follow the friendship, love, and marriage of George Gibbs and Emily Webb. Act three is set after Emily has died in childbirth, and her friends and family mourn her passing. The play features a character called Stage Manager, who explains the story to the audience.

The play is directed by Debbie Goodkin; produced by Irene Nemser, with assistance from Aliyah Nemser. The stage managers are Ashley Schnurr and Erica Harris, and the stage crew director is Bob Corriveau with assistance from Dee Dunn.
