First place winners at Plainsboro Library’s annual Diwali dance competition include group dance members Alisha Kanitkar, Shweta Mouhite, Mathangi Ganesh, and Mounika Atmakuri, all nine years old, and their chorographer Lavanya Ganesh, 13. The 11th annual event celebrating the five-day Indian festival of lights was held on Saturday, October 14. The annual event was coordinated by Plainsboro residents Puthenmadam Radhakrishnan and Shankar Panthanan, both pediatricians at Children’s Preferred Care. The festivities also featured a fashion show and a traditional Hindi music performance.
