Helene Cowan Taylor, 84 of Stratford, Connecticut, died June 26 in her home. Survivors include a brother, Robert T. Beard of West Windsor. Donations may be made to The CT Humane Society, 710 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.

Emilie Profaci of Monroe died July 4 at home. She was a teacher’s assistant in special services with the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District, retiring in 1998. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Class of 1964.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Brent Sullivan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Salvatore and Francine, John and Katerina, and Robert and Michele, all of Monroe Township; her mother, Serafina Danzo of Somerset; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Sandra of Flemington; eight grandchildren, Brent, Emilie, Sal, Sofia, Johnny, Teresa, Anthony, and Emma; and her friend, Philip Millstein of Princeton.
