Guy E. Thompson, 73, of Hopewell died November 5. Born in Plainsboro, he graduated from Princeton High School in 1961. He retired from IBM in Dayton after 30 years. Survivors include his longtime companion, Deborah Richards of Monroe; his four children, David Thompson, Beth Thompson-Payne, Karen Slimmer, and Jeffrey Thompson; their mother, Carole Thompson; his siblings, Gail Cantu, Lynn Campbell, Cathy Good, Janet Foley, and Michael Thompson; his granddaughters, Ellen Thompson-Nappa, Breanna Slimmer, Shyanne Slimmer, and Olivia Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Kathryn L. “Ginny” Wake, 90, of Whiting died November 5. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Frances Wake of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville 07834.

Anne Dell, 44, of West Windsor died November 1. Born in Zheng Zhou, Henan Province, China, she lived in Beijing for most of her life. She moved to West Windsor six months ago. A graduate of Communications University of China, she received her MBA from Renmin University of China. She worked with Dow Chemical Company.

Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Dell, of West Windsor; her mother, Guirong Li; her brothers, Zhao Xue Dong and Zhao Yu He of Zheng Zhou, Henan Province, China; and her extended family, Zhou Jin Hua, Yang Min Nan, and Zhao Han Qing. William Francis Schwartzkopf, 101, of East Windsor died November 1. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he lived in West Windsor for 16 years. He was an export manager for White Rose Foods of New York for 42 years.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lenore and Leigh Isleib; four grandsons and their wives, Richard Isleib and Valerie Hasselbach, Matthew and Christine Isleib, Daniel Isleib and Alida Ragazzo, and Andrew and Valentina Isleib; seven great-grandchildren; a niece; and three nephews. Barbara Fleming, 64, of Bordentown died November 13. Survivors include a son and his significant other, Joseph Fleming and Reena Bhasin of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Saint Raphael School, 151 Gropp Avenue, Trenton 08610.

Josephine Viola Samarelli, 86, of West Windsor died November 2. Arrangements were by David DeMarco Funeral Home in Monroe.

Thomas P. “Tommy” Lavin, 40, of Edison died November 7. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in Plainsboro and attended WW-P High School. He graduated from Middlesex Community College with an associate’s degree in business and attended Rutgers Business School in Newark. Lavin lived in Edison for the past 14 years and was a supply chain manager for Therakos, a pharmaceutical company.

Survivors include his parents, Regina (Hanifin) Lavin; and Thomas Lavin and wife Donna; his four siblings, Tara Lavin; Sean Lavin and wife Maricela; Alyson and husband Rocco Calderone; and Kristin and husband Brian Golden; a stepbrother, Jared Thiel; a niece, Alexandria, and three nephews, James, Tristen, and Cooper. Donations may be made to Mental Health America.

Mark DiGiovanni, 89, of Somerset died November 9. Survivors include a sister, Marie Dettmer of West Windsor.

Valerie Muenzel, 72, died November 8 at Morristown Medical Center. Survivors include her longtime companion, Gene O’Brien of West Windsor.

Marjorie MacNabb Groppi, 62, of Robbinsville died November 14 at University Medical Center at Plainsboro. Born in Kearny, she was a longtime West Windsor resident. She was a speech pathologist at the Hamilton Board of Education for more than 20 years.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan C. and Shannon Groppi; a daughter, Katlyn F. Groppi; a brother, Andrew MacNabb; a sister, Jane MacNabb Morillo; and a granddaughter, Amelia Groppi.
