The WW-P District is accepting applications for a consultant to help “determine the future of the Department of Community Education.”

Gerri Hutner, director of communications for the district, said that “depending on the results of this report, in late spring or early summer, WW-P will move forward with possible changes to the current Community Education program. The goal of this consultancy is a needs assessment,” she said. “We have 10 schools, 10 beautiful buildings and fields, and our community loves our schools. We thought maybe there’s a way to enlarge or change the program.”

The former director of community education, Marci Rubin, left the district last November. Alicia Boyko has been serving as the interim director. Boyko’s primary position, however, is director of human resources. Accordingly, the district may consider hiring a new director later this year, and the consultant may be considered for the Director position.

Applicants must submit their proposals by Wednesday, January 30. The full job announcement can be found on the District website, www.ww-p.org.

The district also seeks a special education project consultant. The deadline for proposals is Wednesday, January 23. Details are on the website.
