For cash-strapped families with college-bound children, financial aid has become a necessary part of their planning. Since most colleges use the SAT or ACT to qualify applicants for admission as well as scholarship packages, higher scores are even more important in these tough economic times. To help students do their best on these exams and to encourage them to create a timely and focused study plan, the Princeton Review, a national test preparation company (not affiliated with Princeton University), has scheduled National Testing Day on Saturday, April 25, where teens nationwide can experience a full-length practice test for the SAT or ACT and receive a detailed score analysis.##M:[more]##

“Taking full-length SAT and ACT practice tests motivates students to take charge of their own college planning,” said Robert Franek, of the Princeton Review. The free, full-length, practice college entrance exams will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Princeton.

“Students who experience simulated testing conditions clearly understand the focus and stamina needed for a four-hour high-stakes test — that’s half the battle,” says Franek. Additionally, for every test taker, the Princeton Review provides free score analysis, showing students where they need to focus their time and efforts by pinpointing their areas of weakness and demonstrating test strategies that students can use to master specific questions.

The Princeton Review practice tests and score reports are completely cost-free, and stress-free, while students generally pay around $45 to take an actual SAT or ACT. Aside from saving money, the practice tests help students become familiar with the test format, pacing, question types, and physical and mental demands of the SAT and ACT.

Locations include 252 Nassau Street, Princeton, on Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Sunday, April 26, 2 p.m. Also, Montgomery High School, on Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m.

The free practice tests are open to all high school students. Register by phone at 800-2REVIEW or visit www.princetonreview.com.
