Turn Rejection

Into Selection

Instead of getting rejected from colleges, learn how to distinguish yourself from the rest and become one of the select few who gets accepted into top notch colleges and universities.

Mark Walters, director of Nassau Street-based college counseling firm IvySmartAmerica, will provide tips and advice on how to stand out and get noticed by colleges at the West Windsor Library on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. The event is free, but registration is recommended by calling 609-275-8901 or online at www.mcl.org.

Walters is a professional college counselor with more than 30 years of experience. He is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors and a member of the National Association of Education Consultants and Speakers.

He will go over the biggest mistakes students make when applying to selective colleges and how to avoid them. He will show students how to approach the essay prompts on the Common Application and provide the dos and don’ts of writing essays, including three major factors that can help students distinguish themselves from other applicants.

Walters will also teach students how to fix frequently made errors on the Common Application and provide students with tips and advice on how to rise above others and be the obvious choice for top colleges. Visit www.ivysmartamerica.com for more information.
