Do you need assistance in applying for U.S. citizenship?

U.S. Representative Rush Holt, in cooperation with the Immigrants Public Advocacy Coalition of Trenton and the Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund, is hosting a citizenship workshop on Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mercer College in West Windsor.##M:[more]##

U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services charges $400, payable by money order, and $10 in cash for photos for the program.

The event is for those interested in obtaining or needing assistance applying for U.S. citizenship. Those registered will receive information to review prior to attending the event and a list of documents necessary in order to complete the application.

A general information session will also be offered. The first 200 people to register will receive free assistance.

If you are seeking assistance you need to meet the following requirements: Be a legal permanent resident for at least five years, have your alien card, social security card, state identification, or driver’s license; list of places you have traveled during the past five years; list of where you have lived and worked for the past five years; information about your spouse and children; information about spouses of previous marriages; information about any arrests; and selective service number for men.
