Christian Community Choir seeks new singers

The Community Christian Choir is set to open registration for their 40th season for new and returning singers.

Registration is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Hamilton Square Presbyterian Church, 3550 Nottingham Way, Hamilton.

The adult and children’s choir is set to present a series of benefit concerts in beginning Nov. 30 until January at several area venues with special celebrations for its 40th season.

To date the choirs have raised more than $205,000 for area charities through their benefit concert series.

Community Christian Choir is a multi-denominational group with members ranging from six-year-olds to senior citizens. Members represent more than 45 congregations in central New Jersey and Bucks County, Pa., and beyond. Church affiliation is not required for membership in the choir.

The choir has both adult and children divisions which sing a variety of music ranging from traditional to contemporary Christian music.

The children’s choir provides an educational environment in un-auditioned divisions for age six to 12th grader, as well as an auditioned team. Singers are placed according to experience, ability, and commitment to ensure each singer’s success. The children’s divisions rehearse Sunday afternoons and evenings at Pond Road Middle School in Robbinsville. The first rehearsal is scheduled for Sept. 7. .

The adult choir is un-auditioned and rehearses two to three Friday evenings a month. There is also an auditioned adult ensemble.
