Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Comes to Plainsboro

In attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, September 24, were State Senator Linda Greenstein; left, Dr. Jennifer Winell from CHOP’s department of surgery; Plainsboro Mayor Peter Cantu; CHOP patient Danielle Hirsch; CHOP CEO Dr. Steven M. Altschuler, Princeton HealthCare System CEO Barry Rabner; and Assemblyman Daniel Benson.

The 25,000-square-foot speciality care facility will be built on the campus of the new University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro to replace an older, smaller facility now operating on Alexander Road in West Windsor. Construction is expected to be completed by early 2015.
