Chabad of the Windsors’ annual Chanukah Wonderland featuring arts and crafts, foods, books, and Chanukah entertainment will be held at McCaffrey’s Market, Southfield Shopping Center, Princeton-Hightstown and Southfield roads, on Sunday, December 17, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Monday, December 18, 3 to 6 p.m.##M:[more]##

The Chanukah Wonderland will have arts and crafts projects for kids of all ages, including simple Menorahs, dreidels, sand art, and other Jewish-themed crafts. There will be traditional latkes and donuts for kids to decorate with icing. Judaic Chanukah items on sale include Menorahs, Chanukah CDs, and videos, books, and cookbooks.

Although there is no outdoor celebration this year, large Menorahs in West Windsor are located at the corner of Clarksville and Princeton-Hightstown roads, and at 1066 Old Trenton Road. According to Rabbi Leverton, the annual event usually held at McCaffrey’s, is cancelled due to the frigid temperatures that occurred in 2005 during the event.

There will be a community lighting at the inaugural ‘Chanukah Bowl Celebration’ on Sunday, December 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Brunswick Lanes, 529 Route 130 North, East Windsor. The program includes unlimited bowling, pita-falafel dinner, a Menorah lighting ceremony, latkes, donuts, and prizes. Adults are $15, and children are $12. Register at 609-448-9369.
