Capital Singers of Trenton to host free Summer Sing

Capital Singers of Trenton, a semi-professional chorus under the leadership of Artistic Director and Conductor Richard M. Loatman, will host a free, open Summer Sing event on Sunday, August 23 at Sacred Heart Church, 343 South Broad Street, in Trenton. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. with an ice cream social to follow.

Local singers are welcome to join members of Capital Singers of Trenton this informal singing event that will feature selections from CST’s upcoming season. Music includes: Rutter’s Requiem (Movements 1 and 7), Shaw/Parker’s Wondrous Love, Wilhousky’s Battle Hymn of the Republic, Davison’s A Solider and the One I Love, Farnell’s Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep and Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria.

No registration or professional experience is necessary. All music will be provided and listeners are welcome.
